What Goes in Lavender Lemonade Cocktail Kits?
These pretty little kits are simple to make and only take a few ingredients: dehydrated lemon slices, lavender flowers, and sugar cubes.
Dehydrated Lemon Slices
The most time-consuming part of this project is the dehydrated lemon slices, which can be made in a few hours either in a dehydrator or in an oven.
In the oven:
Slice your lemons as thin as possible, and place them in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pat the slices dry to remove any excess moisture. Place them in the oven, and dehydrate them on low or “warm” in your oven for 3-5 hours.
In the dehydrator:
Slice your lemons as thin as possible, and place them in a single layer on your dehydrator trays. Pat the slices dry to remove any excess moisture. Dehydrate them on low for 8-10 hours.
When done, your lemon slices should be dry to the touch but not brittle or burned.
Dried Lavender
Not just any lavender can be used for this project. Be sure that you are using culinary or food-grade lavender. You can find our favorite culinary lavender here.
Sugar Cubes
Sugar cubes are a pantry staple and can be found at almost any store. We like these ones from Sugar in The Raw for a natural option that is as beautiful as it is tasty.
